When companies use Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve OEE, production capacity improves dramatically, as the following table shows.

As the table shows, if OEE improves from 44% to 60%, the production in this case increases from 2,443 to 3,411 pieces: a 40% increase. A world-class OEE of 85% generates 4,819 pieces, nearly a 100% increase over the original production level. Improvements of these magnitudes are quite common with TPM.
